Introduction to Exoplanets
Phil Plait, host and writer at Crash Course Astronomy, is a fast talker. He crams a lot of information into twelve or fifteen minutes of video. But remember: it's a video, you can pause it, back it up, watch it again. I often use the left-cursor key to back up by about 5 seconds just to hear a quick repeat of the last sentence or so.
And also remember: you can ask questions in class. Write down your questions and bring them.
Exoplanets are planets in orbit around stars other than our sun. I still think of them as a new thing, but the first ones were discovered almost 30 years ago! Here is Phil Plait's take on them:
